Note from the Author
I present through the pages of this book, insights and wisdom, sought by our ancestors and passed on from one generation to the other through parables, stories and anecdotes. These are in essence, nothing but life’s effort to preserve itself.
With the deepest sense of gratitude, I have collected some of these pearls of wisdom from the ocean of life and strung them for you to play with. I don’t own these parables or stories as they belong to the spirit of human existence but it has been my humble attempt, through this book, to open up a significant perspective of life hidden between these wise lines and words. There are several other perspectives you can draw from these parables based on your own location in life and each of them can be a value-add to your own understanding of life. I hope every understanding that you extract from the following pages will enhance your capacity to draw more out of every context you come across and enrich the quality of life itself.
Just a word of caution: When we read a parable or story, there is a general tendency in each of us to slot people around us, who resemble the characters in the story and form conclusions about them. I request you to refrain from doing so, as this could restrict you from learning and growing, the way you otherwise can. It is a natural instinct in us to find faults, but what is more important is to use this instinct to continuously locate the faults in our own selves and rectify them. This will enable us to become what we are truly capable of being, rather than what we want to be. Incidentally there is a huge difference between the two.
However if you feel some of your reflections and insights could be useful to another person close to you, then you may choose to send a story as an intervention to enable the other person, using our online initiative crafted exclusively for this purpose.
Last but not the least, one of the important competencies that will be demanded of you in this era of consciousness, is your ability to reflect and stay with your thoughts to draw the most of it. This book is designed to nurture reflection in a way that can make you delve deeper into life and celebrate the very spirit of human existence!
Wishing you happy reading and insightful reflections!
